NFL Week 8 is a slate of potential playoff matchups, with most of them concentrated in the NFC. The 4-2 Green Bay Packers travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, who currently lead the NFC South.

Like every other year since 2011, when Jack Del Rio was canned midseason, the Jaguars are a horrible football team. But 2016 was supposed to be different; the organization spent the offseason acquiring young, fast defensive playmakers, and franchise quarterback Blake Bortles is now in his third year in the league. Washington Redskins at Cincinnati Bengals:

9:30 PM (ET) FOX Wembley Stadium, London

Hopefully the Redskins’ team doctors didn’t miss the team flight to London on Thursday, because based on the injury report, Washington’s definitely going to need them there.

Cincinnati is taking part in the NFL’s International Series for the first time since its inception. The league has been pushing for more overseas games, and this is the first time Cincinnati is taking part.

The Redskins have a total of 10 players who are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, a list that includes key starters like left tackle Trent Williams, cornerback Josh Norman and tight end Jordan Reed. Although all three players are likely to play against the Bengals. The Redskins will definitely be missing one starter: Matt Jones.

This game will also be the first time Cincinnati has faced Washington since they named Jay Gruden their head coach. Gruden served as the Bengals’ offensive coordinator from 2011-13 before leaving to become Washington’s head coach.

Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts:

Kansas City

1:00 PM (ET) CBS Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis

On Sunday afternoon, the Indianapolis Colts return home after a two-game road swing and take on Andy Reid’s rejuvenated Kansas City Chiefs.

Every week from now until the end of the season I will do my best to provide links to either watch or listen live to all NFL games. If you’re like me then you’re always on the go. I work in a restaurant, mostly afternoon and nights during game times and usually have to search all over the web to see who’s streaming games just so I am able to watch while at work.

Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck has been having a solid comeback season and comes off a turnover-free outing in which he threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns. The fifth-year quarterback has turned over the football six times this season, but Luck is also completing 64.9 percent of his passes and has thrown for 14 scores.

Since being hammered by the Pittsburgh Steelers on a Sunday night, the Chiefs have bounced back with solid wins over the Oakland Raiders and New Orleans Saints. The Colts are coming off a crucial come-from behind victory at Nashville over the Tennessee Titans.

Oakland Raiders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

Tampa Bay

1:00 PM (ET) CBS Raymond James Stadium, Tampa

The Oakland Raiders (5-2) are set to face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former Oregon State Beavers star running back Jacquizz Rodgers. The Raiders say they aren’t getting complacent after their fast start. They lead the AFC West and look to continue maintain their lead going into the halfway point when they travel to face Tampa Bay on Sunday.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

Oakland is 5-2 on the year and an incredible 4-0 on the road. The Raiders lead the deep AFC West entering Week 8 on account of a few tiebreakers. Oakland has opted to stay in Florida for 10 days after their road win in Week 7 over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tampa Bay is 3-4 on the season and is very much in the mix in the NFC South race. Should the Buccaneers win at home on Sunday and the Atlanta Falcons lose at the Georgia Dome to the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay will be in first place in the NFC South at 4-3. Interestingly, Tampa Bay has won all three of its games on the road this season and are 0-2 at home.

According to, the Buccaneers will be laying 1.5 points at home to the Raiders. With Oakland being a strong road team and Tampa Bay having no home field advantage, it’s hard to not take any points the Raiders are getting in this game. This one has the chance to be one of the more exciting games of the 1:00 PM ET slot in Week 8.

Seattle Seahawks at New Orleans Saints:

New Orleans

1:00 PM (ET) FOX Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans

The Seahawks were fortunate to escape from Arizona with a 6-6 overtime tie last week. The offense struggled for four quarters against the Cardinals, but the Seahawks offense should experience more success against the weak defense of the Saints.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

The Saints face the Seattle Seahawks in a Week 8 Sunday contest at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CT and the game will be regionally televised on FOX. The broadcast crew consists of Justin Kutcher (play-by-play), Charles Davis, Chris Spielman (color analysts) and Holly Sonders (sideline).

There’s the Russell Wilson that goes up against lethal pass rushes (vs. Miami, Los Angeles, Arizona: one touchdown pass, one interception, one interception, 1-1-1 record, 63.5 completion percentage). Then there’s the Wilson that goes up against crappy defenses (vs. San Francisco, New York Jets, Atlanta: 4 TD, 0 INT, 3-0 record, 68.5 completion percentage). The Saints definitely fall in the “crappy defense” category.

The Seahawks (4-1-1) may have left Arizona with a tie, but they continue to lead the NFC West and the defense is playing about as well as it ever has under coach Pete Carroll. The Saints (2-4) are third in the NFL in scoring (29.3), but their defense is allowing a league-worst 32.5 points a game.

Detroit Lions at Houston Texans:

1:00 PM (ET) FOX NRG Stadium, Houston

Quarterback Brock Osweiler is once again the target of the wrath of Houston Texans fans after his abysmal performance in the loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday Night. Osweiler will try to quiet the critics when the Texans (4-3) face the Detroit Lion on Sunday.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

The Detroit Lions (4-3) face off against the Houston Texans (4-3) on Sunday. This will be the Lions’ third matchup against an AFC South team this year. The Lions dropped a game to the Tennessee Titans earlier in the year, but defeated the Indianapolis Colts to open the season. The Texans, too, are facing their third NFC North team. Houston took down the Bears but were outmanned by the Vikings.

The Houston Texans return home after Monday night’s disappointing loss at Denver to face the Detroit Lions. It’s a team that has rebounded from three straight losses with three consecutive victories.

Though the teams play in different conferences, this is a major game for both franchises. Heading into the second half of the season with a 5-3 record would be a major morale boost for both teams as opposed to falling to .500.

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns:

New York

1:00 PM (ET) CBS FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland

The New York Jets are under even more pressure than normal to win this week. Why? They play the winless Cleveland Browns this week and they don’t want the label of being the first team to lose to the Browns on Sunday.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

Kevin Hogan came out of nowhere last week and put up a nice showing in relief against a Bengals team that didn’t prepare for him. The Jets will face Josh McCown instead, but if he goes down, they won’t be (ehh, shouldn’t be) surprised by anything from Hogan, who couldn’t beat out Tyler Bray (Who? I know, right?) in Chiefs camp.

The Cleveland Browns continue to dominate the “explosive play” (a run of 12-plus yards or a pass of 20-plus yards) department. They have 44 on the season, second in the NFL, and the Jets have been prone to allow big plays this year. Even if Cody Kessler doesn’t start, McCown is cleared to play and he shouldn’t have a problem against the Jets’ horrid defense.

The Jets (2-5) benched quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and inserted Geno Smith following four consecutive losses. Smith suffered a torn ACL in the game against Baltimore, and Fitzpatrick came on to rally the Jets to a win against the Ravens. The Browns (0-7) are expected to start Josh McCown at quarterback. Cody Kessler in is the concussion protocol and isn’t expected to be available.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills:

New England

1:00 PM (ET) CBS New Era Field, Buffalo

Everyone knows Bill Belichick and Rex Ryan don’t like each other. The Patriots coach probably thinks the Bills coach is a blowhard and Belichick would clearly enjoy defeating Ryan.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

The New England Patriots are looking to avoid being swept by a divisional rival for the first time since Bill Belichick’s first year as head coach in 2000. The Dolphins and the Jets both swept the Patriots that year. The last time the Bills swept the Patriots was in 1999.

The Bills were outdone by the Dolphins last week in Miami, as running back Jay Ajayi ran all over the Bills. Going into that game, the Bills weren’t bad at stopping the run, but they were exposed against the Dolphins, who did a fine job wearing the Bills defense out and committing to the run.

Rex Ryan will have to plan for Tom Brady this week, something he didn’t have to do when these two teams faced in Week 4. The Bills came out on top in that one, winning 16-0, which was the first Patriots shut out at home since 1993. It’ll be a much tougher task this week facing Brady, who’s 3-0 in his first from his four-game suspension.

Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers:

1:00 PM (ET) FOX Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte

The Arizona Cardinals are moving on after their bizarre game against Seattle that finished in a 6-6 tie. They lamented missed opportunities and will try to produce a more common result – a win – when they face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

The Cardinals vs. Panthers live stream is soon approaching and we’ve got the details on how to watch Sunday night football online. Possibly the biggest rematch since the Super Bowl began, the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers face off again under different circumstances on October 30. Last year, the teams met in a match to win a spot in the SuperBowl and now they’re hoping to get back on their feet after some unexpected struggles during the first half of the season.

Both teams have underperformed in comparison to last year’s results. The Cardinals, who last season finished atop the NFC West with a record of 13-3, already have as many losses as their entire 2016 regular-season campaign. Carolina, who made it all the way to the Super Bowl behind Cam Newton’s MVP season, is 1-5 and alone at the bottom of the NFC South.

Arizona’s (3-3-1) kicking game was a big reason why they finished in a tie rather than a win. A blocked field goal, missed field goal and blocked punt factored into the unwanted result. The Panthers (1-5) aren’t playing at a level anywhere near where they performed in 2015, when they captured the NFC Championship.

San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos:

San Diego

4:05 PM (ET) CBS Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver

The Broncos sought and gained revenge on one opponent last week, now they’ll look for revenge against another when they face the Chargers. The Broncos (5-2) dominated Brock Osweiler and the Houston Texans with a 27-9 win after Osweiler left the Broncos and signed with the Texans during the offseason.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

The Denver Broncos continue their quest to repeat as Super Bowl champions with Sunday’s matchup against the San Diego Chargers. The Broncos are currently tied for first in the AFC West at 5-2, coming off a runaway win against the Texans last week. Their opponents, the Chargers, sit at 3-4, but pulled off a dramatic overtime win against the Falcons in Week 7.

The Broncos have weathered the retirement of Peyton Manning and the departure of Brock Osweiler in large part due to the continued success of their defense. While Trevor Siemian has posted a 91.8 quarterback rating and thrown just three interceptions in six games this season, it has been the defensive unit that has continued to excel.

The success of the Denver defense means Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers may have more difficulty finding the time to connect with his receivers. Rivers ranks fifth among all NFL quarterbacks with 2,018 yards this season and has also thrown 13 touchdowns. Rivers’ play helped contribute to the Chargers’ victory earlier this season against the Broncos.

Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons:

Green Bay

4:25 PM (ET) FOX Georgia Dome, Atlanta

The Green Bay Packers are ready to take on the Atlanta Falcons in a matchup of pass-happy teams. The Packers posted a solid win against the Chicago Bears last week, but that hasn’t stopped the growing concerns about the state of the team going into the game against the Falcons Sunday.

This week’s Packers vs. Falcons game unsurprisingly features the quarterback that leads the NFL in passing yards, yards per attempt, and passer rating. The surprising part is that it’s not Aaron Rodgers topping the league in those categories, but Matt Ryan.

Rodgers and Ryan have matched wits five times in their careers as starting quarterbacks, including playoffs. Rodgers has thrown for at least 300 yards in each of those five encounters and owns a 3-2 edge in the series. Rodgers has had a history of success against the Falcons.

Ryan’s been a good player throughout his career, of course, but not many people saw this year coming from him. The Falcons quarterback has been able to connect with Julio Jones repeatedly, with his running backs out of the backfield, and with all of his other weapons as well. It’s made Atlanta one of the most dangerous offenses in the league.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys:

8:30 PM (ET) NBC AT&T Stadium, Arlington

On Sunday night the world is going to get its first glimpse of a rivalry that could last for quite some time when Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz square off in their first Eagles-Cowboys matchup of the year.

3 Day’s Trail $5.95 | Yearly Package $29.99 | MAC/OSX Package $44.95

The Philadelphia Eagles are 5-1 straight up and 4-2 against the spread in their last six road games against the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles will try to pick up a fourth straight road win over the Cowboys this Sunday night at AT&T Stadium.

The Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has helped the Cowboys to a 5-1 record, and owner Jerry Jones is probably telling Tony Romo to take all the time he needs to rehab his back. Prescott will face another rookie quarterback when the Cowboys face Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.

Regardless of whether or not Tony Romo comes back and plays this year or is on the Cowboys’ roster next season, these two quarterbacks stand a very good chance of facing each other many times in the future.
